A 3-Point Cultipacker is an excellent tool for your tractor to prepare a seed bed in your garden or food plot. Both small and large compact tractors are capable of pulling a Cultipacker, and you often can size up past the width of your tractor if you prefer.
Three different series of cultipackers are available for sale from Dirt Dog. The CP9 and CP16 series have notched rollers, which are better for breaking up soil clumps, while the CP15 series has smooth rollers which leaves a smoother soilbed. Both the CP15 and CP16 series are much larger and heavier than the CP9 series.
After your soil has been tilled, a pass with a Cultipacker before seeding will break up any remaining soil clods creating a firm, and uniform seed bed. After seeding, the rollers gently firm up the soil around the seeds ensuring shallow seed placement and excellent seed-to-soil contact for germination. The peaks and valleys made by the rollers help retain water and improve moisture absorption.
A 3-Point Cultipacker is meant for both compact and utility tractors and is very easy to use—just lower it to the ground and drive!
Dirt Dog Cultipackers are built like tanks and Made in the USA, down in Commerce, GA.
